Emergency Disaster Response

Timely and coordinated emergency disaster response is often the key to successful recovery. URI first responders are trained and experienced in damage mitigation and protection of structures and property. Structural penetrations are closed and secured. Temporary roofing is used to protect from further water intrusion. Structural shrink-wrapping has been used to enclose buildings up to fourteen stories tall.

Selective demolition of impacted structural materials (wet drywall, carpeting, etc.) serves to open wet spaces and remove potential areas for mold growth. Water extraction and debris removal help to stabilize the indoor environment in preparation for the installation of specialty drying systems.

Site security and temporary fencing are put in place to ensure public safety by controlling the movement of personnel onto the property. Valuable property is protected from theft and vandalizing.
